The estimated processing time for visa applications is 21 days from the day of the consular interview. Requests made less than 21 days in advance of the travel date will not be accepted. This Embassy returns the passport to the holder after the consular interview is completed and does not keep it during the processing of the application.
- DNM ENTRY PERMIT OR CONSULAR ENTRY PERMIT:
- In case of having an Entry Permit (Permiso de Ingreso) issued by the National Directorate of Migrations (Dirección Nacional de Migraciones), it must be assigned to the EMBASSY OF THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC IN LEBANON.
- If you do NOT have an Entry Permit issued by the National Directorate of Migrations, you must pay the processing fee for a Consular Entry Permit by credit card at the website of the National Directorate of Migrations, https://dnm.provincianet.com.ar/. On the day his/her visa is issued, the applicant must present the proof of payment generated by the web system, which contains the corresponding ticket number. APPLICANTS MUST NOT PAY THIS FEE UNTIL THEY RECEIVE CONFIRMATION THAT THEIR VISA IS APPROVED.
Members of the secular clergy are exempt from paying this fee.
- REQUIREMENTS:
1. Complete application form with two 4x4 photographs, front, white background. DO NOT OMIT ANY OF THE FIELDS OF THE FORM.
2. Valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the day you plan to enter Argentina. It must have at least one completely blank page.
3. Document/identity card of the applicant.
4. Invitation letter.
The inviter must be a representative of the relevant Worship (which must be officially recognized and have legal status) and must send a note to the General Directorate of the National Registry of Worship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Commerce and Worship (MRECIC) requesting that the signature of the authorized religious authority be certified. Said Worship must be registered in the RENURE (Registro Nacional Único de Requirentes de Extranjeros) of the National Directorate of Migration and the registration must be valid at the time of issuing the invitation. The Catholic Worship is exempt from the RENURE registration.
The competent area of the MRECIC certifies the signature of the authorized inviter and verifies that the congregation, diocese or Worship is registered, authorized and valid. Then, it will communicate this circumstance to the corresponding consulate or embassy for the continuation of the visa application process.
The following data must be included in the inviter's note: a) Community, congregation or diocese where the applicant will carry out his/her tasks; b) Type of activity to be carried out (pastoral, community, teaching, etc.); c) Address and contact information of the religious organization; d) Name of superior/provincial or responsible authority; e) Intended stay in Argentina.
5. Applicants over sixteen (16) years of age: Certificate of No Conviction issued by the competent authorities of the countries where the they have resided for more than one (1) year in the course of the previous three (3) years, dated up to three months before the granting of the visa, legalized by the corresponding Argentine consular office or apostilled and with an official translation into Spanish.
6. Sworn declaration regarding the lack of an international criminal record (the declaration is printed and signed at the Embassy).
- IMPORTANT:
a) After the consular interview, the consular officer may request, if deemed necessary, submitting additional documentation.
b) The documentation must be translated into Spanish.
c) The visa applicant must personally attend the Embassy to be interviewed by a consular officer. An appointment for the consular interview will only be given when the applicant has all the necessary documentation.
d) All travelers are advised to make only air reservations and not to purchase tickets prior to visa issuance.
Maximum period of stay: one year (extendable before the National Directorate of Migration, Dirección Nacional de Migraciones)
Fee: USD 150 (this is an application fee and must be paid regardless of whether the visa is issued or not).
Consular Entry Permit: - USD 600 for non-Mercosur nationals.
- USD 300 for Mercosur nationals.
