The Chœur de l'USJ and the JML Orchestra, under the baton of Yasmina
Sabbah, are thrilled to kick off the festive season with a sensational
tango program featuring the Lebanese premiere of MisaTango by Argentine
composer Martín Palmeri - a daring mix of sacred music and tango!
2021 marks the centenary of the birth of Astor Piazzolla - the famous
Argentine tango composer, bandoneon player, and arranger - who’s works
revolutionized the traditional tango. As a tribute to the composer, we
will also showcase his tango music performed by Trio de la Sombra as
well as a unique composition and commissioned arrangement of Oblivion by
Vincenzo De Filippo.
